ชาวบริติช
ชาวบริติช (อังกฤษ: British people) หรือ บริตัน (Britons) เป็นที่รู้จักในสำนวนภาษาปากว่า บริตส์ (Brits)[32] เป็นชนชาติหรือคนพื้นเมืองของสหราชอาณาจักร ดินแดนโพ้นทะเลของสหราชอาณาจักร และดินแดนปกครองตนเองภายใต้อธิปไตยของสหราชอาณาจักร (คราวน์ดีเพนเดนซี)[33][34][35] ตลอดจนผู้สืบเชื้อสายจากชนชาตินี้ กฎหมายสัญชาติสหราชอาณาจักรสมัยใหม่ หมายถึง พลเมืองและผู้ถือสัญชาติสหราชอาณาจักร แต่ในบริบททางประวัติศาสตร์จะหมายถึงชาวบริตัน ซึ่งเป็นชนพื้นเมืองของเกาะบริเตนใหญ่และแคว้นเบรอตาญ กลุ่มชนที่เหลือรอดในปัจจุบันคือชาวเวลส์, ชาวคอร์นิช และชาวเบรอตาญ[34] คำนี้ยังสื่อถึงพลเมืองอดีตจักรวรรดิบริติชที่เคยอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศก่อน ค.ศ. 1973 และไม่ได้ถือสัญชาติหรือสิทธิพลเมืองสหราชอาณาจักร[36]
