Nepenthes vieillardii ( ได้ชื่อตาม Eugène Vieillard ผู้เก็บต้นไม้จากนิวแคลิโดเนียและ Tahiti ระหว่าง ค.ศ. 1861 ถึง 1867) เป็นหม้อข้าวหม้อแกงลิงถิ่นเดียวของนิวแคลิโดเนีย กระจายไปทางฝั่งตะวันออกมากกว่าหม้อข้าวหม้อแกงลิงชนิดอื่น มีถิ่นอาศัยในป่าแล้งเขตร้อน^[1]

พบว่ายุงในสกุล Tripteroides แพร่พันธุ์ในหม้อของพืชชนิดนี้^[2]
