ภาวะชักต่อเนื่องหรือโรคลมชักชนิดต่อเนื่องคือภาวะที่เกิดอาการชักติดต่อกันนานเกิน 30 นาที หรือภาวะที่ผู้ป่วยมีอาการชักสั้นๆ แต่หลายครั้ง ติดต่อกันนานเกิน 30 นาที โดยระหว่างการชักแต่ละครั้งผู้ป่วยไม่ได้ฟื้นคืนสติเป็นปกติ
