วงศ์ผักปลาบ หรือ (En:Commelinaceae) เป็นวงศ์ของพืชมีดอก อยู่ในอันดับ (En:Commelinales) มีสมาชิกประมาณ 650 สปีชีส์ใน 40 สกุล[1] มีความหลากหลายทั้งในโลกเก่าและโลกใหม่ โดยในสกุลเดียวกันจะพบทั้งสองที่[2] มีรูปร่างที่ผันแปรโดยเฉพาะดอกและช่อดอก[3][4]
