Nutrient agar

Nutrient agar (NA)เป็นอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อแบคทีเรียที่ใช้โดยทั่วไปในห้องปฏิบัติการ แบคทีเรียจะเจริญเป็นโคโลนีบนผิวหน้าอาหาร มองเห็นได้ชัดเจน ในอาหารเหลว แบคทีเรียเมื่อเจริญเติบโตจะทำให้อาหารขุ่น โดยทั่วไปประกอบด้วย (w/v):^[1]

0.5 % เปบโตน
0.3 % สารสกัดจากเนื้อ/สารสกัดจากยีสต์
1.5 % วุ้น
0.5% NaCl
น้ำกลั่น
pH (6.8) at 25 °C.

Nutrient broth เตรียมเช่นเดียวกันแต่ไม่ใส่วุ้น
