English: Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre is located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bang Sai district. It was established in 1980, as a result from H.M. Queen Sirikit’s interest in production of folk arts using local materials, with an aim to provide training on handicraft-related occupation for farmers, as well as the public.
There is Sala Phra Ming Khwan with applied-Thai architecture. The ground floor is a demonstration center and souvenir shop. The second floor consists exhibition rooms. There is also a training building for artisan with twice a year of a 6 months course for 500 trainees each. There are 30 fields of handcraft.
The centre offers a small-scaled train with no charge for tourists to visit villages located in the area, as well as the Thailand’s largest freshwater fish museum, and enjoy shopping the centre’s products and their production demonstration.
