ในรอว์ 19 สิงหาคม ซีเอ็ม พังก์ ออกมาพูดเกี่ยวกับแมตช์ที่เจอกับ[[บร็อก เลสเนอร์]] ใน[[ซัมเมอร์สแลม (2013)]] เฮย์แมนออกมาพร้อมกับแอ็กเซล เพื่อให้แอ็กเซลกระทืบพังก์ แต่กลายเป็นโดนพังก์เล่นงานจนหมดสภาพ เฮย์แมนมาขัดขวางไว้ ทำให้แอ็กเซลได้โอกาสเอาเก้าอี้มาฟาดและกระแทกซ้ำๆ ใส่ขาพังก์ที่บาดเจ็บอยู่ แอ็กเซลปิดบัญชีด้วยท่าไม้ตาย Neckbreaker จากนั้นก็เอาเก้าอี้มาหนีบขาพังก์ ก่อนจะขึ้นเชือกแล้วกระโดดลงมา แต่พังก์กลิ้งหลบได้ทันแล้วเอาเก้าอี้ไล่ฟาดแอ็กเซล ก่อนจะจับ GTS ลงบนขั้นบันไดเหล็ก ในรอว์ 26 สิงหาคม แอ็กเซลได้เจอกับพังก์ สุดท้ายแอ็กเซลก็แพ้ไป หลังแมตช์ เฮย์แมนพยายามจะหนีแต่โดน รปภ.ลากตัวกลับมาหาพังก์ แต่แอ็กเซลฟื้นมาพอดีแล้วมาจัดการล้วงพังก์ จากนั้นก็จับใส่กุญแจมือให้เฮย์แมนตบหัวเล่น พังก์ยังใช้ขาเตะก้านคอแอ็กเซลร่วงไปได้ จากนั้นก็ไปไล่เตะเฮย์แมนอย่างเมามันส์ แต่สุดท้ายก็โดนแอ็กเซลฟาดด้วยเก้าอี้ แอ็กเซลล็อกคอพังก์ให้เฮย์แมนใช้ไม้เคนโด้กระหน่ำตีจนหมดสภาพ ใน[[ไนท์ออฟแชมเปียนส์ (2013)]] แอ็กเซลได้จับคู่กับเฮย์แมน เจอกับพังก์ ในแฮนดิแคป 2 ต่อ 1 แบบคัดออก ไม่มีกฏกติกา สุดท้ายแอ็กเซลและเฮย์แมนก็เป็นฝ่ายชนะ จากการช่วยเหลือจาก[[ไรแบ็ก]] ใน[[ดับเบิลยูดับเบิลยูอี แบทเทิลกราวด์|แบทเทิลกราวด์]] แอ็กเซลสามารถป้องกันแชมป์อินเตอร์กับ[[รอน คิลลิงส์|อาร์-ทรูธ]]ไว้ได้ ต่อมาแอ็กเซลได้รับบาดเจ็บ ทำให้แมตช์ชิงแชมป์อินเตอร์กับ[[บิ๊กอี]]ใน[[เฮลอินเอเซล (2013)]]ต้องยกเลิก<ref>http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=81182</ref> ก่อนเสียแชมป์อินเตอร์ให้บิ๊กอีในรอว์ 18 พฤศจิกายน
