ตั้งสโมสรฟุตบอลเมืองทองหนองจอก ยูไนเต็ด คือ [[วรวีร์ มะกูดี]] ซึ่งปัจจุบันเป็นนายก[[สมาคมฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์]] ภายหลังก่อตั้งทีมโรงเรียนศาสนวิทยา หรือ[[สโมสรฟุตบอลบีอีซี เทโรศาสน]]ปัจจุบัน 3 ปี ชื่อแรกที่ขึ้นทะเบียนไว้กับสมาคมฟุตบอลเป็นชื่อทีมโรงเรียนหนองจอกพิทยานุสรณ์ เริ่มไต่เต้าจากถ้วยเล็กสุดอย่างถ้วยพระราชทานประเภท ง กระทั่งในการแข่งขันฟุตบอลลีกดิวิชัน 1 ฤดูกาล 2545-2546 ทีม ร.ร.หนองจอกพิทยานุสรณ์ก็ได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็นหนแรกเป็น สโมสรฟุตบอลไข่มุกดำหนองจอก<ref>[http://www.khaosod.co.th/view_news.php?newsid=TUROelkyc3dOakl3TVRBMU5RPT0=§ionid=TURNek5nPT0=&day=TWpBeE1pMHhNQzB5TUE9PQ== เปิดตำนานเมืองทอง แชมป์ไทยลีก]</ref> โดยได้[[วีระ มุสิกพงศ์]] อดีตนักการเมือง เข้ามาทำทีม แต่แค่ฤดูกาลเดียวเมื่อไม่ประสบความสำเร็จวีระ ก็เลิกลาไปโดยที่ทีมยังคงอยู่ในลีกดิวิชัน 1 ต่อไป<ref>[http://www.rakball.net/team/tpl_muangthongunited.php เมืองทองหนองจอกยูไนเต็ด]</ref>

ลักษณะการเชียร์ กองเชียร์เมืองทอง ยูไนเต็ด จะเรียกกันว่า "อุลตร้า เมืองทอง เชียร์ไม่มีหมด 90 นาที และ กิเลน N-ZONE" โดยมีฝั่งอัฒจรรย์ ทิศเหนือ และทิศใต้ เป็นโซนยืนเชียร์แต่ปัจจุบันได้ติดเก้าอี้แล้ว ส่วนอัฒจรรย์ทิศตะวันออก และตะวันตก เป็นที่นั่งติดเก้าอี้ทั้งหมด
