Yutthasak Komjornkijborworn

Yutthasak is a classical guitarist from Bangkok, Thailand. He is a specialist in 19th century guitar. He has appeared in many venues such as Jakarta (Indonesia), Asia Guitar Festival, Pattaya Guitar Festival (Thailand), Bonn, Berlin (Germany) etc, Yutthasak has collaborated with a number of composer and has premiered several modern works for guitar. Active as a chamber musician, he is a diversed musician and has performed with numerous musicians as duo, quartet, string quartet etc. He likes to explore the new sound for guitar such as electronic music, experimental music. Yutthasak is a graduate of Kasetsart University (Thailand), University of Music Rostock (Germany), University of Texas at Austin (USA) and Civica Scuola di Musica Milano (Italy). Yutthasak studied at the University of Music and Art in Graz, Austria on an ASEA-UNINET scholarship. His main teachers are Tawee Maneejaruthat, Vitthaya Vosbien, Leo Witoszynskyj, Thomas Offermann, Sonja Prunnbauer, Frederic Hand, Kevin Gallagher, Adam Holzman, Duo Maccari-Pugliese and Bruno Giuffredi. Yutthasak also studied chamber music with UT- Austin Artist in Residence, Miro String Quartet. He has had homes in Germany, Austria, Italy New York City and currently resides in Thailand. Yutthasak is the only Thai guitarist and only a few in the world who completed degree in early music.He uses gut strings and approaches his 19th century instrument with authentic early guitar technique. He speaks fluent English, Thai, German and Italian. He travels frequently. He loves culture, history,museum, Jazz, Coltrane, food, coffee and is often in the kitchen when he is at home. Yutthasak runs his private studio in Bangkok and offers guitar lesson for people at all ages.He is the director of "Yutthasak's Studio Concert Series". Yutthasak is a lecturer of Guitar Ensemble at Kasetsart University in Bangkok. He plays a guitar made by Paco Santiago Marin "30th Anniversary" 2012
