การใช้เส้นทางร่วมกัน ในโครงข่ายถนน คือ ถนนเส้นหนึ่งที่มีการกำหนดหมายเลขที่แตกต่างกันตั้งแต่สองสายขึ้นไป[1] หรือการที่ทางหลวงใช้เขตทางร่วมกัน[2][3][4][5][6][7]
การกำหนดหมายเลขทับซ้อนกัน ใช้ในบางประเทศ เมื่อเส้นทางเส้นนั้นจำเป็นต้องผ่านภูเขา หรือผ่านเมืองใหญ่ มักเป็นข้อได้เปรียบในการสร้างทางหลวงหลาย ๆ สายบนถนนเส้นเดียว ในบางประเทศ ถนนที่มีการใช้เส้นทางร่วมกันนั้นมักมีป้ายบอกหมายเลขเพียงสายทางเดียว ซึ่งสายทางที่ไม่ได้มีป้ายบอกนั้นจะหายไปเมื่อเริ่มมีการใช้เส้นทางร่วมกัน และจะเริ่มต้นใหม่เมื่อสิ้นสุดการใช้เส้นทางร่วมกัน[8][9]
