กะทือพิลาสหรือ ไพลเหลือง[1] ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Zingiber spectabile เป็นพืชในสกุลขิง เป็นพืชพื้นเมืองในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ นิยมใช้เป็นไม้ประดับ [2]ในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ใช้เป็นพืชสมุนไพร[3]ยอดอ่อนรับประทานได้
ในมาเลเซียใช้เป็นยาพื้นบ้าน[4] รักษาอาการตาแดง[3] ใช้แก้อาการปวดหัว ปวดหลัง[5] พืชชนิดนี้มีฤทธิ์ต้านจุลินทรีย์[6]และมีเอนไซม์ Zerumbone synthase ซึ่งมีประสิทธิภาพในการรักษามะเร็งลำไส้ใหญ่[7]
