วงศ์ผักปลาบ (Commelinaceae) เป็นวงศ์ของพืชมีดอก อยู่ในอันดับ Commelinales มีสมาชิกประมาณ 650 สปีชีส์ใน 40 สกุล[1] มีความหลากหลายทั้งในโลกเก่าและโลกใหม่ โดยในสกุลเดียวกันจะพบทั้งสองที่[2] มีรูปร่างที่ผันแปรโดยเฉพาะดอกและช่อดอก[3][4]
