ADN-ZB 17.4.85 [Herausgabedatum] Bez. Potsdam: Zum 40. Jahrestag der Befreiung des KZ Ravensbrück Wie die Frauen des KZ unter den extremsten Bedingungen die schwierigsten Arbeiten verrichten mußten, zeigen mehrere Fotos im neuen Museum der nationalen Mahn- und Gedenkstätte. Insgesamt geben etwa 700 Fotos, Dokumente und andere Sachzeugen Auskunft über das Schicksal der rund 135 000 Frauen, Mädchen und Kinder aus 20 Nationen Europas, die hier eingekerkert waren. |

English: Photograph issued on 17 April 1985 in the Potsdam district of East Germany on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the Ravensbrück concentration camp. The original caption translates to: "Several photographs in the museum of the national memorial site document how women prisoners of the camp had to perform their work under the most adverse circumstances. A total number of about 700 images, documents and other objects bears witness to the fate of about 135,000 women, girls and children from 20 nations of Europe who were incarcerated here." |
