โซเมีย (ภูมิศาสตร์)

โซเมีย (อังกฤษ: Zomia) เป็นคำศัพท์ที่สร้างใหม่ในปี พ.ศ. 2545 โดยนักประวัติศาสตร์วิลเลิม ฟัน สแค็นเดิล (Willem van Schendel)[1] จากมหาวิทยาลัยอัมสเตอร์ดัม[2] เป็นคำใช้เรียกบริเวณในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่ในอดีตไม่ได้อยู่ภายใต้การปกครองของรัฐบาลของผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ในที่ราบลุ่ม[3]
