Cannabis sativa L.[1] | |
สกุลกัญชา หรือ Cannabis (/ˈkænəbɪs/; Cán-na-bis) เป็นสกุลของพืชมีดอกที่ประกอบด้วย 3 สปีชีส์ Cannabis sativa หรือกัญชง [1] Cannabis indica หรือกัญชา [1] และ Cannabis ruderalisที่เป็นวัชพืชในยุโรป พืชเหล่านี้เป็นพืชท้องถิ่นในเอเชียกลาง และเอเชียใต้[2] พืชในสกุลนี้เป็นพืชให้เส้นใย สมุนไพร และยังถูกรัฐบาลในหลาย ๆ ประเทศมองว่าเป็นยาเสพติด นอกจากนั้นยังสามารถคั้นน้ำมันจากเมล็ดได้ดวย[3]
