Phrai?

Sorry I write in Latin I have no Thai keyboard and do not speak Thai. But are phrai not serfs? And was not the change in the 19th century a switch from serfdom to wage labour an abolition of serfdom by the monarchy of Thailand?

You are right about the abolition of serfdom, but I think there isn't any one-to-one translation in this case. The word phrai can be used to refer to common people too. --Potapt (พูดคุย) 23:39, 14 กันยายน 2558 (ICT)
