โพรมีเทียส หรือ โพรมีทีอูส (อังกฤษ: Prometheus, กรีก: Προμη9659εύς แปลว่า มองการณ์ไกล) เป็นเทพไททันองค์หนึ่งที่มีความเฉลียวฉลาด เป็นผู้เสร้างโลกขโมยไฟจากเฮสเทีย เทพีแห่งเตาไฟ ลงไปให้มนุษย์ จึงทำให้มนุษย์รู้จักใช้ไฟในการหุงหาอาหารและใช้เพื่อแสงสว่างจนสามารถสร้างอารยธรรมต่างๆ ได้ จึงทำให้ซูสโกรธและลงโทษโพรมีเทียสด้วยการขังไว้ในถ้ำบนคอคาซัส และมีนกอินทรียักษ์มาจิกกินตับของโพรมีเทียสทุกวันโดยที่ไม่ตาย และทุกคืนตับของโพรมีเทียสจะงอกใหม่เพื่อให้นกอินทรียักษ์จิกกินในวันรุ่งขึ้นขยายขึ้นใหญ่
แต่สำหรับมนุษย์แล้ว โพรมีเทียสถือว่าเป็นเทพที่กล้าหาญและเป็นเพื่อนที่ดีต่อมนุษย์ จึงได้รับการยกย่องและนับถือ
