เซลล์รอบโกลเมอรูลัส
เซลล์รอบโกลเมอรูลัส (อังกฤษ: Periglomerular cell) เป็นเซลล์ประสาทในป่องรับกลิ่นของสมอง ซึ่งเมื่อร่วมกับ granule cell จะเป็นตัวอำนวยการยับยั้งจากเซลล์ด้านข้าง (lateral inhibition) ของข้อมูลกลิ่นที่ป่องรับกลิ่นได้รับ ประมวลผล และส่งต่อ เป็นเซลล์ที่มีเดนไดรต์อยู่ในโกลเมอรูลัสของป่องรับกลิ่น[1] ซึ่งรับข้อมูลจากเซลล์ประสาทรับกลิ่นที่เยื่อรับกลิ่นในโพรงจมูก เป็นเซลล์ที่มีไซแนปส์แบบยับยั้ง (inhibitory) กับเซลล์ไมทรัล และ tufted cell[2] โดยมีทั้งแบบใช้สารสื่อประสาทกาบาและโดพามีน[3] เซลล์รอบโกลเมอรูลัสเป็น interneuron ที่หนาแน่นทีสุดในชั้นโกลเมอรูลัสของป่องรับกลิ่น เป็นเซลล์ขนาด 6-8 ไมโครเมตรที่ล้อมและกำหนดขอบเขตโกลเมอรูลัส ปกติจะมีเดนไดรต์อยู่ที่โกลเมอรูลัสอันเดียว แม้จะมีข้อยกเว้นคือโกลเมอรูลัสหลายอันอาจได้เดนไดรต์จากเซลล์ตัวเดียว ซึ่งอาจจะยื่นออกไปไกลเป็นระยะ 3-6 โกลเมอรูลัส[4]
