หมู่เกาะคูริล (อังกฤษ: Kuril Islands หรือ Kurile Islands /ˈkʊərɪl, ˈkjʊərɪl, kjʊˈriːl/; ญี่ปุ่น: 千島列島; รัสเซีย: Кури́льские острова́, อักษรโรมัน: Kurilskiye ostrova, สัทอักษรสากล: [kʊˈrʲilʲskʲɪjə ɐstrɐˈva] หรือ รัสเซีย: островá Тисима, อักษรโรมัน: ostrova Tisima; ญี่ปุ่น: Kuriru rettō (クリル列島?, "หมู่เกาะคูริล") หรือ Chishima rettō (千島列島?, "หมู่เกาะชิชิมะ")) เป็นกลุ่มเกาะในแคว้นซาฮาลิน ของประเทศรัสเซีย มีความยาวราว 1,300 กิโลเมตร (810 ไมล์) ตั้งอยู่ทางตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของเกาะฮกไกโด ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ยาวจนไปถึงคาบสมุทรคัมชัตคาของรัสเซีย เกาะได้คั่นกลางระหว่างทะเลโอค็อตสค์กับมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกเหนือ หมู่เกาะมีอยู่ 56 เกาะ และมีเกาะหินเล็กน้อยอีกหลายเกาะ หมู่เกาะประกอบด้วยห่วงโซ่เกรเตอร์คูริล (Greater Kuril Chain) และห่วงโซ่เลสเซอร์คูริล (Lesser Kuril Chain)[1] มีพื้นที่รวม 10,503.2 กม²[2] และมีประชากรรวม 19,434 คน[3]
เกาะทั้งหมดตกอยู่ภายใต้การปกครองของรัสเซีย แต่มีสี่เกาะใต้สุดทีญี่ปุ่นอ้างสิทธิ์ รวมถึงสองในสามเกาะใหญ่ที่สุด คือ เกาะอีตูรุป และเกาะคูนาชีร์ รวมถึงเกาะชิโกตัน และเกาะฮาโบไม ในปี ค.ศ. 2018 รัสเซียและญี่ปุ่นได้กลับมาเจรจาเรื่องจะให้หมู่เกาะดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของญี่ปุ่น[4]
