กระทรวงการสงครามสหรัฐ (อังกฤษ: United States Department of War) เป็นหน่วยงานการต่างประเทศทางทหารสหรัฐ ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 1789 ในช่วงแรกมีความรับผิดชอบเหนือกองทัพสหรัฐทั้งปวง (เทียบเท่ากระทรวงกลาโหมในปัจจุบัน) ต่อมามีการแยกความรับผิดชอบกำลังทางเรือออกไปตั้งเป็นทบวงทหารเรือในปี 1798 และต่อมามีการแยกความรับผิดชอบกำลังทางอากาศออกไปตั้งเป็นทบวงทหารอากาศในปี 1947[1] ท้ายที่สุด กระทรวงการสงครามซึ่งเหลือแค่กำลังทางบกจึงถูกลดสถานะเป็นทบวงทหารบก และมีการสถาปนากระทรวงกลาโหมในปีเดียวกัน

รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการสงคราม มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบด้านเงินทุน ,การซื้ออุปกรณ์ และมีบทบาทเล็กน้อยในการกำกับกิจการทางทหารไปยังภาคการสงครามตลอดการดำรงวาระอยู่
