และประกอบกับการที่ซีรีส์เรื่อง Remington Steele ได้ฉายจบไปตั้งแต่[[ค.ศ. 1987]] แล้ว และประกอบไม่มีสัญญาอะไรมาคั่นเพียร์ซกับบทเจมส์ บอนด์อีก เขาตอบตกลงและเริ่มแสดงเป็นเจมส์ บอนด์ในทันที และเขาได้แสดงเป็นจำนวน 4 เรื่อง ตั้งแต่ [[ค.ศ. 1995]] - [[ค.ศ. 2002]] ซึ่งมีชื่อตอนคือ GoldenEye , Tomorrow Never Dies , The World Is Not Enough และ Die Another Day ตามลำดับ หลังจากนั้น ค่ายภาพยนตร์อีโอเอ็น ก็ตัดสินใจให้เพียร์ซหมดวาระการรับบทเจมส์ บอนด์ และ แดเนียล เคร็ก มารับบทเจมส์ บอนด์ แทน
