Soon after 1938 it became clear that the Western allies (France, Great Britain) had failed to fulfill the agreements (see [[การทรยศโดยชาติตะวันตก]]), and failed to defend Czechoslovakia against [[อดอล์ฟ ฮิตเลอร์]].
