VisualEditor is a new, "visual" way of editing Wikipedia that will let people contribute without having to learn wikimarkup. It has been available as an opt-in release on the English-language Wikipedia since December 2012, [https://blog.wikimedia.org/2013/04/25/visualeditor-alpha-in-15-languages/ in 14 other languages since April 2013], and in [https://blog.wikimedia.org/2013/06/06/preparing-for-visualeditor-on-all-wikipedias/ almost all other languages] since the beginning of June. Since July, it has been offered by default to users of most large Wikipedias, and as of the end of 2013, users at more than half of Wikipedias have access to it. The Wikimedia Foundation developers expect to make it available to almost all Wikimedia Foundation projects by the end of 2014.
