การดับไฟป่า (อังกฤษ: wildfire suppression) เป็นกลยุทธ์การดับเพลิงที่ใช้ในการระงับไฟป่า ความพยายามในการดับเพลิงในพื้นที่ป่าต้องใช้เทคนิค, อุปกรณ์ และการฝึกที่แตกต่างกันจากไฟไหม้ตัวอาคารที่คุ้นเคยมากกว่าที่พบในพื้นที่ที่มีประชากร การทำงานร่วมกับอากาศยาน การดับเพลิงทางอากาศ ทีมงานที่ได้รับการฝึกด้านไฟป่าเหล่านี้จะระงับเปลวไฟ, สร้างแนวกันไฟ และดับเปลวไฟ รวมถึงบริเวณที่มีความร้อนเพื่อปกป้องทรัพยากรและความเป็นป่าธรรมชาติ การดับไฟป่ายังกล่าวถึงประเด็นของพื้นที่รวมของที่ดินในสภาพธรรมชาติ–ในเมือง โดยพื้นที่ที่มีประชากรอยู่ติดกับพื้นที่ป่า

ออสเตรเลีย แก้

ไฟป่า หรือที่รู้จักในออสเตรเลียในชื่อบุชไฟเออร์ ได้มีส่วนอย่างมากในประเทศออสเตรเลียเนื่องจากสภาพแห้งแล้ง หน่วยงานดับเพลิงที่โดดเด่นซึ่งได้รับมอบหมายให้ดับไฟป่า ได้แก่ เอ็นพีดับเบิลยูเอส (หน่วยงานดับไฟป่าและอุทยานแห่งชาติ รัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์), สำนักงานป้องกันอัคคีภัยในพื้นที่ห่างไกลของรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์, หน่วยบริการดับเพลิงเซาท์ออสเตรเลีย รวมถึงกระทรวงสิ่งแวดล้อม, ที่ดิน, แหล่งน้ำ และการวางแผน (DELWP) ของรัฐวิกทอเรีย ตลอดจนหน่วยดับเพลิงรัฐวิกทอเรีย^[10]^[11]^[12]
