การทูตแบบใช้นาวิกานุภาพ
ในการเมืองระหว่างประเทศ การทูตแบบใช้นาวิกานุภาพ[1] (อังกฤษ: Gunboat diplomacy) หมายถึง การดำเนินงานเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายนโยบายการต่างประเทศโดยการแสดงนาวิกานุภาพ (naval power) ให้ปรากฏอย่างชัดแจ้ง หรือสร้างภัยคุกคามทางทหารทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม หากไม่สามารถยอมรับข้อตกลงของกำลังที่เหนือกว่าได้[2] การทูตแบบใช้นาวิกานุภาพถือได้ว่าเป็นหนึ่งในรูปแบบของการใช้อำนาจครอบงำ (hegemony)[3]

นักการทูตและนักวิชาการทางเรือ เจมส์ เคเบิล ให้นิยามปรากฏการณ์นี้ว่า "เป็นการใช้หรือสร้างภัยคุกคามโดยการใช้กำลังทางน้ำภายใต้ขอบเขตที่ไม่ถึงขั้นการทำสงคราม เพื่อคว้าความได้เปรียบหรือเพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้เผชิญความสูญเสียในข้อพิพาทระหว่างประเทศหรือต่อชาวต่างชาติในดินแดนหรือเขตอำนาจของรัฐตนเอง"[4]
